I can not believe that it is February 21, 2012!!
Where is this year going? holy cow.
So I have been thinking a lot about potty training.. actually, it’s keeping me up at night – yes, I am a crazy person – like you needed one more reason to confirm this. I was doing some research, I came across this:
This actually exists.. I could not believe it! It’s called the Peter Potty Toddler Urinal! Peter Potty?? Really! It seems so unnecessary! Don’t you start by teaching them how to wee wee sitting down? Is using a urinal a true learned “talent”? I mean come on.. I am so thankful that my daycare is proactive when it comes to potty training, I feel kind of lost – and unsure where to begin. We talk to the Captain about sitting on the potty – and he seems interested – as much as any 2 year old seems interested in something. So I feel like we are on the right track. But I guess we will see. I have a feeling the next few months are going to be very interesting in the Clarke household.
Hubs made the mistake of mentioning that he wanted some projects to do around the house.. so I gave him my list of stuff I wanted done. The first was that I really wanted a growth chart for the Captain – and I didn’t want us to spend $80.00 on it. I found this one on Pinterest. The original post is located on the most darling little blog, Dear Lillie, and they sell theirs for $69.95 in their shop. My handy hub took the instructions and ran with it – and made one that is so perfect! Please excuse the awful coloring of this photograph! There are a couple of other projects that I have posted on my Pinterest pages that I think we will try in future.. When I do, I will post.
Lately, I have been trying new recipes that I find on Pinterest. My mom gave me a new crockpot for my birthday – I love crockpot recipes! I made beef stroganoff a few weeks ago for the hubs, and I am not kidding – he is still talking about how good it was. It’s from The Crockstar.blogspot.com – that here’s the recipe..
The Absolute Best Crockpot Beef Stroganoff Recipe!
2 pounds cubed stew meat
2 cans Condensed Golden Mushroom Soup (this is better than just regular cream of mushroom – it has bigger pieces of mushrooms and it’s more golden in color… hence – Golden Mush Soup…)
1 largish onion diced
2-3-4 tabls of Worcestershire (this stuff is so awesome I always add more)
8 oz of cream cheese (the first time I made this with just 1lb of meat I still added 8 oz’s, sshh don’t tell my lactose intolerant hubbie)
couple of dashes of Garlic Salt (1 tsp?)
couple dashes of Hot Paprika (see I just can’t believe this would be good without some sort of kick)
In the slow cooker stir in all the ingredients, except the meat AND the Cream Cheese, together. Once combined add the meat and mix together.
Cook on Low for 8 hours. Cut up the cream cheese into cubes just before serving and turn crockpot on high. Stir the cream cheese in until all combined. You might have to put the lid back on and leave for 10 minutes.vServe over egg noodles… or rice, or mashed potatoes.
One note I may give is that you really need to watch adding any additional salt. It was really salty as it is.. Also, I browned the meat before adding it to the crockpot – and used a bit of Montreal Grill seasoning with a little flour – tossed and browned – YUM!
All for now!
